Linda all I have on John Layne and his family is what you have, however the 1880 census shows Sarah Sally married to william p johnson he is 45 yers old and she is 18. William has several children listed all in their teens.(I couldnt find a 1970 census of william Johnson )The baby is 9 months old named Georgia Ann Johnson who is my grandmother. I have a letter written to her in her later years giving her age along with four sisters as following. Georgia ann johnson born 1879.elizabeth D.(Dixie)johnson
born 1881,Minerva(Minnie)johnson born 1883.and Vandaly johnson born 1885. I have an old postcard photo of My grandmother georgia her mother Sarah Sally and two of her sisters Dixie and Vandaly. The photo was taken aroung 1907 for my mother was in the photo as a 2 year old. My mom was named minerva after her aunt. A brother of the girls named Will Johnson is also in the photo. I have another photo of a young man named Bill Dotson with a notation "mamas half brother " so this makes 4 girls and possible 2 boys for Sara sally. Not counting any that was with Asa McCoy her first husband.I cant find a 1990 census of the family. As far as I know they were all from Ky along the Tug river and Peters creek. Ellis D Cox
