Hi, Jenn!

My name is Karina Pettinger, and my mother's mother is a Layne (maiden name). She is descended from Tracy Walker Layne, son of James Henry Layne, who is a descendent of the original Layne (Laine): William Laine. He came from England in the 1700s and settled in Virginia. Later descendants alternated the last name from Laine to Lane, Lain, Layne; it is frustrating. Anyway, my point is that we may be distant cousins, since I am a descendant of William Laine (Layne). All of the Laynes in my family are big people. The men are at least 6'to 6'5 and over 220lbs. The women unfortunately, are full-figured but pretty. I am. The men have served in the military, are truck drivers, possess a great sense of humor (a little sarcastic, too), kind-hearted and giving.

I don't know if I have helped you, but I have a copy of the Layne genealogy at home if you need any information.

Sincerely,

Karina Pettinger

P.S. By the way, we are close in age, too! I was born August 9, 1970.
