Looking for anyone connected to this family.

Thursday, January 25, 1906 Emmetsburg, Iowa
Palo Alto Reporter

Jacob Lawyer was born in Stark county, Ohio November 27, 1833; died at the home of C. W. and Dora M. Winney near Curlew, Iowa January 1906 at the age of 73 years, one month and 18 days.
He grew to manhood near his birthplace and at the age of 22 years was united in marriage to Leah Ford. To this union there were born seven children, six of whom still survive, the father, the mother and one son having passed on before him. The surviving ones are as follows: William Lawyer, Salem??, Calif.; Emma Elliot, Chicago, Ill.; Sarah McGonigle, Cylinder, Iowa: Dora M. Winney, Curlew, Iowa; Fred Lawyer, Langdon, Iowa, and Edward Lawyer, Rushville. Ill., of whom four were present at the burial. The deceased was a very strong Christian character manifesting this to the very end of life. In spite of the awful pain that the dreadful disease of cancer caused him to endure he would daily glorify God and praise his Holy name for the salvation that saves to the uttermost. Being blessed with his right mind to the last he called for a reading of the scripture and worship, after which he bade his loved ones good bye and telling them that Christ was beckoning to him soon left to join the happy throng on the other shore.

The relatives of the deceased wish to thank the friends and neighbors for their kindness and assistance during the sickness and death of their father.
