Thanks for the contact, but I don't think we have a connection. My Peter Lawyer was born 1761, probably in PA. He fought in the Revolution and died in Perry Co., PA. He was of German/Swiss heritage, but I haven't been able to locate any parents. I believe, however, that he came from Berks Co., PA - there were a couple of Lauer/Lower families there that are possibilities.
But if your guy was born in Germany in 1800, then the closest we might come would be in the "old country".
