Hello Craig
The nearest couple I have in my tree to your William & Mary Lawton are William b. circa 1806 Biddulph and Mary b. 1811 who were both widowed when they married on 28 February 1832 in Biddulph and as far as I know they didn't have any children.
However I have lots more Lawtons from the North Staffs and Cheshire area on my family tree website at:
