Rev. Carl Lawson
LAWSON Rev. Carl, 66, of Newalla, passed away November 18, 1989 at Oklahoma Memorial Hospital. Rev. Lawson was born January 22, 1923 in Aztec, NM to Fred and Grace Lawson. He was active for 47 years in the United Methodist Ministry. He served churches throughout Texas, New Mexico and then in 1967 moved to the Oklahoma Conference where he retired to Newalla in June 1989, after serving churches in OKC, Lawton, Bartlesville, El Reno and Sand Springs. However, his ministry never ceased even up to his death. Survived by 3 sons, Fred Lawson of Collierville, TN, Stephen Lawson, MWC, Mark Lawson of Waco, TX, 3 daughters, Carla Hill of Newalla, Kaye Lynn Whitson of Durango, CO, and Marda Santos of Colorado Springs, CO, his father, Fred Lawson of Aztec, NM, 3 sisters, Lorraine Ogden of Almagardo, NM, Madge Spinson of Aztec, NM and Marda Cooksey of Albuquerque, NM, 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
