Asa, son of Amos Lawrence and Betty Hubbard, moved to Boone County, IL in 1838, died 5 July 1853 at Belvidere, IL and was buried in Belvidere Cemetery. He inherited from his father the Lawrence homestead in Groton originally purchased in 1683 by his great-grandfather, Ensign Nathaniel Lawrence.
Asa's children were Benjamin, b. 4 Jan. 1809 and Ardelia, b. 11 Dec. 1811 at Groton; m. 30 Aug. 1827 at Gronton to Thomas Staples. I am a descendant of some of the Groton Lawrences, either Isaac or John who were at Bunker Hill. Would appreciate info you might be able to provide.
