Lawrence-Lowrence-Lorentz & Iffland-Eveland Family Connections
Does anyone in Eveland research have any facts or proof of marriages of Johannes "John" Eveland b. 1704 and Unknown Lowrence ? In "Janeway Accounts" May 15th, 1738, John Evelan is listed as a brother-in-law to John Lowrence, possibly a son of Hannis Lowrence. Does anyone have anything further on this connection?
(In "The Stull Family" by Wayne V. Jones, page 227, it states the following:
John Eveland married Anna Margaretha Lorentz at the Bellheim Catholic church, the church of the bride's family. The marriage record in the church book shows "Joes Lorentz from Bellheim married Anna Margaretha, daughter of Jois Heilger from Oberluster on Feb. 13, 1691.)
This is definitely an error:
John was in America by age about 6 so could not have been married in Bellheim, plus it has to be a mix up with the reference to Anna Margaretha & Johannes Lorentz marriage.
Also some researchers have John married to AnnaBarbara LorentzMay 15, 1738 Bedminster Township, Somerset County, New Jersey.
Some researchers have her married to Johann Jacob Beshearer , which seems to backed up by the will of :
Johannes Lowrance Will of 1745. Recorded inSomerset County, New Jersey:
" "I LIKEWISE give and bequeath unto Barbra Beshearer my well
beloved daughter the sun of tenn (sic) pounds of Curant Lawfull (sic)
money prock for to be Raised out of my Estait (sic). "
Does anyone have any thoughts on these two differences of opinions?
Another question on Eveland & Lowrence connections.
