Michael,
Well I do feel stupid.I looked more closely at your line and realized that it was your great grandfather John that worked on the Family of John Lawrence.I imagine you have all the copies of that work you need.
Anyway I have this information on John:
-----------------------------------------------------
Name: Lawrence, John Father: Lawrence , Hubbard Mother: Goss , Mary Birth Date: 21 May 1814 City: St Johnsburg County: Caledonia State: VT Country: USA
Rev. John Lawrence entered Phillips Academy, Andover, 1833, then Dartmouth College 1836, and Andover Theological Seminary in 1840
His course of study was interrupted by repeated failure of health.
He was engaged in teaching, seven years or more in Plymouth, NH, Westfield and Springfield, Mass.
He was ordained in 1848, installed in Carlisle, Middlesex Co, Mass May 5, 1853.
He returned to Salem, NH in 1859 and labored three years, making siz in all in that place.
He moved to Wilton, Me, where he spent the rest of his time preparing and publishing a revised and more complete Genealogy of "The Family of John Lawrence, of Watertown and Groton, Mass."
-----------------------------------------------------------
I have John married to Nancy Temple with two children.I do not know when or where he died and who Nancy's parents were.
I would appreciate it if you could fill in your line for me.
I noticed that both Hubbard II and John attended Dartmouth but had their studies interrupted by ill health.Do you know what the issue was with ill health?Hubbard III died rather young of typhoid fever.Hubbard III's sons also had typhoid as children.
Thanks
Dennis Lawrence
