I may not be of help but I am looking for for connections to a Helen Lawrance born about 12 May 1779 and died 1851 to 1861 Rosehearty Pitsligo. She married Alexander Strachan about 1810 and it is possible they lived in Banff before moving to Peathill. Alexander and Helen are my g g g grandparents. Given the proximity of Banff/Rosehearty/Gamrie there could be a connection.
