I came from Chadwicks, New york and am presently in Tulsa, Oklahoma where I practiced Engineering before retirement. My Father was Nelson F. Lawrance and Grandfather Elmer Lawrance of Clark Mills New York. Among the Lawrance's was my fathers cousins, the Tindells. I understand that the USA family was the result of a marriage between the Tindell female and the Lawrance male somewhere in Yorkshire. They we outside if the family and emigrated to Canada and thence to New York. I have no additiional information except there was a book written entieled the Lawrance Dowery and I know of no copies in existance. My Grandfather who was a cripple had two notes that when signed would have provoded compenastion for giving up all claims to the dowery. There are two sons, Richard who lives in Tulsa and David who is a physician working as the Medical Director at the University of Illinois. No more information
