Hi it's me again, just thought I would add to my message to see if I could connect any dots.
Edward Samuel James LAWRANCE was in the military, service in both the UK and Canada. He had a sister named Emma Jane b. abt 1860 who married and Alfred Thomas PRESSLAND 1886, I believe they married in Cambridge but his family was all from Surrey (New Malden) it has been reported to me by Emma's family that there father was the chief of coastguards for East Anglia, but I have not beeen able to establish his first name or there places of birth.
