Thanks for the info.
I assume that Hampson Street is named after John Chauncey.
I have no information about the Jarvis family.
I do not have the book to which you refer.What I have are translations of the first and second parts of what is titled "History of Thomas Layton, Senior (Grandson of Buxton Lawn and Mary Dawson) Together with that of his family and Descendants" prepared by Dr. Thomas Layton Jr.
The first part was apparently compiled in 1870 (later revised), and the second in 1874 (later revised). I do not have a translation of the third part.As I may have mentioned, all the Layton archives are in the Tulane University Library.
