Hi Randy. Saw your post from March. It looks like you didn't get much in the way of response to your question and maybe you have already found what you needed. If you put the words "Thomas Walker Expedition" in the search engine for your computer you should get a large amount of information regarding this subject. I believe there is also a site that gives "word for word" Dr. Walker's jounal entries including the information regarding Henry Lawless and the naming of, I believe (going on memory here because I away from my info)a creek or body of water with the name of Lawless. If you need more info let me know and I will try to access the information that I have regarding this. I know that he was killed by Indians on the "Big Sandy" later on. P.S. There is a Thomas Walker Park near the Cumberland Gap area that you can visit and they have books and articles that you can purchase regarding this subject. Good luck and let me know.
