Rosannah LAWLESS is my 3rd Great Grandmother.
Born in about 1813, she married in Amherst Co., Virginia in 1833 to Barnett MOON (Jonathan, William, William). All of their children and thier descendants were born in Amherst Co with the exception of my grandfather's children; who were all born in Campbell Co. or Lynchburg, Virginia.
I would like to be informed of the exact source to the claim that the race of my 3rd great grandfather was Monacan Indian.
There is a LAWLESS website (Life in the Past Lane) that has made that claim to my 3rd Great Grandfather but there is no source for it. It appears that the infomation came from Denis Lawless.
My emails are not being answered with the website owner with regard to the source for the claim. I would like the information validated or taken down; as, I am interested in becoming a member of the Tribe and my application interests have been forwarded to the Chief there.
