However if some folks want to compare DNA with one another couldn't hurt. I don't wish to shut the door to any possible connection. Spelling and how a name is pronounced could depend on a plethora of things. A problem with speaking, a person who couldn't spell (lord knows we all have been through that), someone getting all upset with their family and changing the spelling of their last name (had that in one of my lines), etc. So my suggestion is that you should welcome all enquiries even though they do not fall within certain perceived guidelines. I don't have anyone who is doing DNA in my family so I do my research the old fashioned way - simply research research research. You would be extremely surprised how something that sounds so out of the ordinary just jumpstarts you right over that wall.
