I sent this last nite, I tho't, but I must have done something wrong as I don't see it in the Forum, will try again. First-I am the same person who sent you some information in April 2001, Daniels was my name then, both my name and my e-mail address have changed ! Here goes-- DAR Linage Book Volumn 66, Pg 139 Mrs. Alice Freeborn Dunbar Angevine DAR ID Number 65403 Born in Bristol, R.I. Wife of W.H.Angevine Descendant of Capt.William Lawless Dau of Richard Dunbar and Fannie Morgan Lawless, his wife Grdau of James Lawless and Alice Freeborn Carter, his wife Gr-grdau of William Lawless and Betsy Youmans, his wife Gr-gr-grdau of John Lawless and Sarah West, his wife Gr-gr-gr-grdau pf William Lawless and RebeccaDyer, his wife, m 1761 William Lawless[1739-1791] in 1776 was Lieutenant in Cpl. Benjamin Tollman's regiment and was promoted to captain under Capt. Archibald Cary. He was born in Bristol, R.I. Hope this will be what you need, I recently joined DAR and when they were helping me put my ancestry together [it was simple, my sister is in DAR], they used the ID Number to establish that lineage had already been proven and I only had to prove from me back to the ancester with a proven ID. In your case, back to William Lawless and Betsy Youmans, as they were parents of James and Samuel, b about 1785, who married Evace Manning. Another little bit I have picked up on this line is when I searched in Ancestry for Capt,William Lawless, 2nd Rhode Island State Reg't. has records of muster and pay rolls [in the National Archives] , an abstract of the Wages and Subsistence Money due the Field Staff of Col. Archibald Cary.s Reg't in the Service of the US from the 16th of Nov to the 15th of Dec 1778. You might want to get those for your own enjoyment. Good luck, Mary Lawlis Schott Notify Administrator about this message?
