Donna,

Wiley Ray has been my brick wall.

I have found Rays in Henderson Co.,Tn from Wilson Co., Tn,
Brunswick Co., Va, Orange Co., Nc and Anne Arundel and Baltimore Co,s in Maryland and from KY.

Do you think it is possible that Harriet Ray (dau of Wm H Ray) could be the Harriet E Ray whom married Thomas J Helton 1875 in Williamson Co., IL? according to the 1860
Williamson Co., Il census, Harriet would have been born abt
1858. Harriet could have been old enough by 1875. It seems
a good possibility since an H E Helton singed as a witness
on for the marriage of Milly Ray Taylor(William H Rays sis)
to William Glasscock whom Milly married after the death of
James W Taylor.

there is also a Harriet Ray who married a W H Smiley
1893 in Williamson Co., IL. If this was our Harriet Ray, she would have been up in her thirties

Rita
