Hello,
I am wondering if anyone knows the ancestors of Maxime Lavoie b 1820 in Montreal who worked for the HBC and was posted primarily out west. He married a native woman of the Stickeen Tribe (from the very north coast of BC)when he was posted at Fort Stickeen. He and Cecile (as she was later baptised) had many children in Victoria BC, one of who was my gg grandmother Justine Lavoie.
I just cannot get past Maxime to see who his parents were.
