Ray: My grandfather, Ernest Laviolette had a brother named Remi. Ernest had two sons, Robert and Richard. Robert is my Father, and his mother was named Irene Coupie. Ernest also had a son with her sister, Patricia Coupie, name Richard, my uncle.Richard died last year. Peggy is the youngest sister of the Coupies, and I think she is still alive. I do know that Ernest died around 1970 and is buried in a catholic cemetery. If Remi is your father, and we are talking about the same Ernest, then we must be related. If you have anymore information about the family I would greatly appreciate it. I am interested in the message you posted about Edouard Laviolette because I know nothing about the Laviolette ancestry aside from the name of Ernest, my grandfather. Please keep in touch. Thanks
