Hi!I noticed the spelling of your Lavier. My gggrandmother is Mary Lavier who married Thomas J. Schooner.Queenie was her daughter but may have had a different father.Mary and Thomas lived in Wood County, Ohio and had at least 10 children. There is a family legend that Thomas' father, Elihu Schooner (a Mohawk Indian), went to Canada and kidnapped Mary while on a war party. When he brought her home, she was to be killed so Thomas intervened and married her.Mary was born in Paris, France in either 1844 or 54 and came to either Canada or America when only 2 years old.We don't have a lot more on her, except a living cousin remembers her a little from her childhood -- mostly that she was blind and very bossy to Thomas (made him sleep in the shed out back most of the time!).She sounds like a character and I'd really like to learn more about her and her life. Thanks -- Vicki
