Allen Lavender m Bets Stratton Amh Co Va

I can't find any info on my Belosra Lavender, so I am trying to find info on Allen. He signed the marriage bond for Belsora in 1833.No one seems to think she is his daughter.I would appreciate any info on his family.Looks like Belsora would have been related to him even if he wasn't her father. You would think with such an uncommon name, she would be easy to find.

Belsora Elizabeth Lavender m Joseph Carter 1833 Amherst Co., Va.They moved to Botetourt county by 1850.They were in Rockbridge by 1860.1870 Belsora is back in Boteoturt Co.I had someone check the death records for Rockbridge and Joseph is not listed.Maybe he died in Boteoturt but I don't know what year.Joseph was almost twenty years older than Belsora. It is possible he was married before.I can't understand why I can't find any parents for either one.

Thanks for any help.

Jackie
