Nancy,
We are related by marriage. John was married to my mother, and he was the best father any kid could ask for.
Grandpa Patrick lived with us until his death in 1958.
He is buried at Holy Cross cemetery in Culver City. I visit his grave twice a year, around St Patrick's day and about 6 momths later.
John divorced my mother (amicable) in 1960, I last saw him in 1966, after I got back from Vietnam. He remarried and moved to Florida, I never saw him again. I tracked him down to El Paso Texas in 2003, about three months after he died. I will always regret not seeing him again.
Martin died about 1996 I think, we were never close.
The picture of Johnand his wife (my mom) would be correct, as they were married in 1946. I don't know the picture, so I don't know Don Caprien.
I have also been trying to find Marion (your aunt) I lost touch with her when she married and moved away from Santa Monica.
I was contacted a couple of years back by Irene Gringeri, she is Martin's granddaughter. She lives in Odessa, Florida. Email me at [email protected], and I will give you her email address
John is buried in the Veteran's cemetery at Fort Bliss, Texas.
I have done some genealogical reseach online regarding your family ( Because of John, I consider them my family also).
I'll send you what I've got, if you are interested.
I don't have anything on your grandmother, as Patrick or John never talked about her to me (I wish they had).
Anyway, you can reach me at the email address, and I should reply the same day, or certainly by the next day.
