As I have both Lavallee and Paul (actually Hus dit Paul) lines in my ancestry I had noted the following marriage. This is from Societe de Genealogie de Lanaudiere, St-Pierre Sorel, Comte Richelieu 1675-1810, (Publication No. 24; Joliette, PQ; 1990:

Jean-Baptiste LAVALLEE married 5 Aug. 1799 at St-Pierre de Sorel, Richelieu, Quebec Louise HUS. Jean-Baptiste is the son of Emmanuel LAVALLEE and Marguerite DUPUIS. The notation for Louis is simply "Joseph HUS" with no mothers name given.
From the same source, J-Bte was born 23 Oct. 1778 at Sorel.
