A biography/family history of Phillip Laux is included in "Montana, Its Story and Biography", Vol 2, page 158.
Parents: John & Catherine (Jung) Laux, natives of southern Germany. In 1885, Phillipp located in Helena; 1886, Cottonwood. In Montana, Phillip met Miss Katie Abell, a native of Southern Germany. In Nov. 1899, Katie went back to Germany to visit relatives. Phillipp followed her, and on 9 Feb 1890, they were married in Germany. On the 12th of Feb, they returned to reside in Lewistown, Montana. They had 10 living children: John W., Phillip, George Lee, Elizabeth, Francisca, Cecelia, Catherine, Stella, Margaret, Joseph.
