Anna Maria Mainzer b. 4/14/1832, Eller, Ger. d. 8/19/1904, Honesdale, PA They had 8 children, all (except possibly Jacob) born in Honesdale, PA. 1) Jacob, b. 4/14/1853, maybe in Ger d. 5/31/1920, VanEtten, NY m. Mary Hess, 1874 2) Anna Mary, b. 4/1/1854 3) Peter John Laux b. 1/29 or 6/29/1856, Honesdale, PA d. 7/26/1929, Sayre PA m. Mary Pauline Gotz (Goetz or Goetzer) 4/1/1879, Pittston, PA 4) Melchoir (“Mike”), b. 9/7/1858 5) John Adam 6) Barbara 7) Francis “Frank” 8) Josephine Peter Gotz (or Goetz or Goetzer), b 1840 (his mother born 1813 in Ger., possibly Wurtenberg) m. ? Minzer dau of Genevieve Struble, who was b. Ger. and landed Baltimore between 1800-1815. m. Genevieve Minzer, sister of 1st wife. Had 2 sons from 1st marriage: 1) Peter, drowned 2) Paul, disappeared in Civil War Had 1 son and 7 daughters from 2nd marriage. 1) Jacob, m. Ann Kennedy 2) Lizzie, died in infancy 3) Elizabeth “Lizzie” m. George Gottstetter 4) Genevieve “Phoebe” m. Joseph Frederick 5) ? 6) Genevieve, died in infancy 7) Mary Pauline b. 1/1/1863, Pittston, PA d. 7/29/1946, Sayre PA m. Peter John Laux 8) Mary Magdalene “Lana”, m. William “Bill” Adrian Peter “Pete” John Laux and Mary Pauline Goetz had 10 children: Born in Pittston: 1) Sarah or Sara Josephine, m. George Taber 2) John Peter “J.P.”, m. Agnes Taber 3) Genevieve Katherine, m. Matthew Fritsch 4) Katherine, died in infancy (“water head”) 5) William “Bill/Will” Joseph, m. Loretta Burke Rinehart Born in Sayre: 6) Matthew, died in infancy (pneumonia) 7) Jacob “Jake”, b. 5/29/1890, d. 1/8/1965 in Waverly, NY, m. Lucy Frank 8) Mary Magdalene, m. Fred Schram 9) Francis “Frank” Matthew., m. Madge Sheahan Rodney 10) Wilhelmina “Minnie” Cecile, m. William “Bill” T. Cater (English) #8, Mary Magdalene was my maternal grandmother. I remember: all but Sarah (d. 1912) and the ones who died in infancy, some only vaguely, as in remembering their names and that they came to visit my grandmother. #2, “J.P.” and Mary Agnes Walsh had 7 children, the 3rd of whom was: Genevieve A., b. 9/3/1915, Pittston, PA who married Joseph “Joe” John Cambal, 12/31/1942 in Fort Knox, KY. Their 3rd child “Mary Catherine” was born in Evanston, Ill on 5/17/1953. I have no marriage or children info for this person. Would that be you, Cathy? P.S. JP was a VIP. You can probably get more info on him from the Sayre Historical Society. So, we’re all related. “J.P.” was my Great Uncle. “Martin” was my ggg-grandfather.
