My grandmother was Daisy Belle Ayers TIPPETT (b.20 May 1892). She had a sister, Mary Elizabeth Ayers (b.about 1876), that was married to "Jim" LAUGHTER and they had 11 children, John Henry, Jamie, Edgar, Elmo, Roland, Garland, Willie May, Estelle, Mamie, Nancy, and Mary Ellen.
Daisy and Mary grew up in the NASH/WARREN County (NC) area and their parents were James E. AYERS and Ann HARRIS. Ayers.
A Laughter family burial plot is loacated at what was formerly known as St. Clements Church in Ringwood, NC (southwest Halifax Co, NC). Tombstone inscriptions, James B. LAUGHTER, b.8 Feb 1852, d. 14 Jan 1935; Nancy LAUGHTER, b. 4 Nov 1892, d. 19 Mar 1914; Mary E. LAUGHTER, b. 19 Jan 1876, d. 31 Oct 1946; John Henry LAUGHTER, b. 23 Jan 1898, d. 23 Aug 1930; Willie Belle LAUGHTER, b. 20 Aug 1910, d. 22 Jul 1924.
