Lauer's of the 1800's

I am researching the Lauers in the 1800's. I have been told that the parents of Hilda Lauer were Kate Listfelt and Philip Lauer who founded the Lauer Brewery in Pittsburgh. Both familys came from Germany (Prussia). I have not been able to find these names at all. Only name found associated with the Brewery is Frederick. Don't know if this is Philip's father or ??? If you can assist I would appreciate it very much.
