Ripley newspapers of 1929

My great grandmother Mamie Lee Meacham passed away in 1929 and is buried in the Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley. I don't have the exact date yet, but it's her son Otis that I am interested in. He abandoned his family of three girls a couple of years earlier. Family tradition has it that Otis made an effort to go to his mother's funeral, but no one would lend him the bus fare. I'm interested in what Mamie's obituary said about her son, such as where he was living at the time.

What newspapers existed in Ripley in 1929 and how can I access their archives? Thanks. Bruce Wolcott.
