I am researching the Lauber family of Illinois for my best friend who sent me an old journal written in German script. In this old journal, there is a Theresia Lauber who married Leo Hess on April 30, 1854 in what looks like Chicago, Illinois. The journal then lists children of this couple: Joseph Otto Hess b. 4-6-1856 Franklin Co., MO, Maeri Hess b. 9-1-1858 Franklin Co., MO, Katarina Hess b. 11-1-1861 Franklin Co., MO, Franz Albert Hess b. 7-19-1868 Jefferson Co., MO, and Marie Hess b. 6-2-1863 St Louis. There are some portions that I haven't been able to make out with the German script that was used, but towards the end of the copied pages, I have Thomas Lauber who died in October of 1904 in Evansville, IL, and Anne Reisacher nee Lauber who died in July of 1907 in Lulliville (probably Louisville) Illinois.
If anyone has any information on this family, I would appreciate it,
