Arturs, My father's mother was Anna Murnieks. When my dad wrote a note/letter in German he addressed it to Fricis Murnieks and addressed him as Fredi (14 April 1946). In my father's 1969 calendar, he has a man's name of Fred and has him having a birthday on August 1. Noted by my dad on 1 August 1969, Fricis was 82 years old. So, I figure Fricis was born August 1, 1897. I just looked for his name in Raduraksti (Kandava), and I could not find it. I am hoping he was a relative of my father's mother.

The only person that would probably be in the Ceraukstes pagasts is Karlis Ozols, my grandmother's husband.

Thank you, Linda
