Hello Linda,

Unfortunately your question is very general.

As far as I know, there was in the place Kandava, the Kandava parish and the surrounding area at least five cemeteries.

For a specific search for the real burial place / cemetery are information about the first and last name, the last place of residence, the death and / or burial date, the faith and ethnicity (for example Latvian or Baltic German) of your grandfather necessary.

With this information, it may be possible in the Latvian online church records and other sources "Raduraksti" to seek.

Another option would be an archive request from the Latvian State Historical Archives.

Regards
Alfons
