My grandfather, Oskar Sutta, born Latvia in 1891 lived in Riga (?) until his immigration to the US in 1921. His father was Martin (1861-1910) and his mother was Milda Birkhahn Sutta.(1869-1922) Of his six siblings, three moved to the US and I do not know if Karl Sutta, Nora Sutta or Jessija Sutta remained in Latvia. I am just trying to find out a little more about the Sutta line.
Also, Oskar married Juste Roshstein around 1920. She was also of a large family with three of her sisters also leaving Latvia. I have a document that says...
"Par peeminu eefwehtijamai deenai. " It follows with a prayer and then "Nemihlejeet pafauli nedi to, kas ir pafaule; jo kas pafauli mihle, eekich ta naw ta Tehwa mihleitiba." "dfim: 1896 Jan 8 eefweht: 1910 (or 1900 or 1916?)
Is this a christening or confirmation certificate? A birth certificate? Any help will be truly appreciated.
