Mary Walden

Looking for information on a Mary/Maren/Mari/Maria Walden (born about 1860) who married a Johan or Johannes Larsen. They lived in Oslo, Norway and had 9 sons that we know of. We believe that Mary had a brother that owned/operated a large nursery in Riga. We also belive that Mary may be of Latvian blood.
My wife's grandfather Ernst was one of the sons and he spent his summers working for his uncle. In 1902 he jumped on the Latvian ship "Roma" starting off as a cabin boy and ultimately became the ship's cook. He entered the USA about 1910 and ultimately was a chef at some of California's finest hotels.
Unfortunately he never contacted his family after jumping ship in Riga.
Any ideas or leads would be most helpful.
Mike
