Could any one please tell me were Jocobstadt was in latvia
I would like to know if it is any were near Griwa I understand the only Finkelstein family in the courland belonged to the Jewish community of Jacobstadt.
And my family all way's said that the Greatgrand parents lived in Griwa so any help on the village names would be a great.
My Greatgrand parents name were (Mother Layli father Noti or Nathan) there children were (Annie born 1880's) Sarah, Katey and Rebecca she was born January 1896.
There mother Layli had twin boys that died after birth Layli all so died, and Noti re married if any one has any records or information that can help me on my search or tell me if birth and death records for Jocobstadt show any of these names.
