Hi Karin,
My friend's mother was born in Riga January 1, 1901 and her name was Milda Ronis. She married Vilis Kampars and had a son Gunnar. There was a Ronis, Fricis who was pictured when young in Latvia and he bears a strong resemblance to my friend Gunnar and his mother.Perhaps it was his uncle. Are you still in Latvia? After World War II, my friend and his family had to leave Latvia.I know that they lived for a little while in Germany.I believe a Ronis was imprisoned by the Russians. It was in 1940 or 41 . It didn't give his first name but he was an officer in the Army. That is interesting about tracing the Ronis back to 1725.Do you have any Milda in Riga inyour research.Any information appreciated.Greetings from Ohio ! Sharon
