I am a decendent of Gott Latlip, (LaTulippe)of Waterville, ME and I just found your post while researching info on his line. I know he was born approx 1820, married Sophia, born approx 1822, Marriage: 13, May 1865, Waterville, Kennebec, Maine. Their children were in order of age, Mary, Gott, Sophia, Charles, Lewis and Lucy. They lived in Waterville, ME in the 1860 US Census. The younger Gott married Mary, and had children, Fred, Frank and Andrew. I am a decendent of Gott Latlip Sr.'s daughter Sophia. She married William Bell and they lived in Waterville at the time but later moved to Lowell MA. William and Sophie named one of their children Lucy Mae. My Great-great grandmother was another daughter of William Bell and Sophie Latulippe, named Sophie Elizabeth (Bell)Dunbar. The middle name Mae (May) has been passed down to many generations, and is mine, my mothers, my great-grandmothers and my daughters middle name as well.

I'm thinking that we are probably related, unless there was another Gott Latulippe (Latlip on the census, but Latulippe on other documents) in Waterville at that time.

Sophia Latulippe's sister Mary Latulip married to Charles Peltier on Oct 10, 1861 in Waterville, Kennebec Maine. In the obit for Sophie, it is Mary Pelletier.
