I recently started looking for information on the Lattimore family. Maybe this will be helpful.
There was a Robert Lattimore married to Ann ----- in York County, S.C.. This family seems to have had connections to the Bethel Presbyterian Church in York County. Robert’s will, which was written in 1784, shows at least five children.
(1) Rebecca who married Joseph McKenzie, son of John McKenzie / Hannah Allerton.
(2) Anna (born about 1749) who married Andrew Love, son of Alexander Love / Margaret Moore.
(3) Arthur who married Margaret Hanna, daughter of James Hanna / Jean Black. Her second marriage was to Elias Davison.
(4) Nancy who married a Kennedy.
(5) George.
Other stuff I have seen suggests that Robert was born in Ireland, came to Pennsylvania with his father (Arthur?), and then moved to South Carolina. But cannot swear to any of that.
The date of birth of your Mary and her having a son named Robert Lattimore Armstrong suggests a relation to this family described above.
I was interested in the Lattimores because I am descended from Robert’s daughter Anna and Alexander Love.
