Seeking present day descendants of Edward Dilworth Latta. He was born in Pendleton, SC in c. 1851 and died in Asheville, NC in 1925. He and his first wife, Harriet Nisbet, had three children: Marion Nisbet Latta, Edward Dilworth Latta, Jr., and Janet Acton Latta. Janet Action Latta married William Porcher and they were living in Charlotte, NC in 1920 census. Edward Dilworth Latta, Jr. was single and living with his sister. Cannot locate Marion Nisbet Latta in census indexes. Edward Dilworth Latta, Sr. contributed enough money to the nursing program at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC, to build a nurse's home for student nurses. In April the Alumni Association of the Memorial Mission Nursing Program will have a ceremony which will include honoring Edward Dilworth Latta. They want to invite any of his descendants to attend the ceremony.
