Latshaws who became Ladshaws

I am resarching a LATSHAW family that I can trace only as far back as a John Latshaw who was born somewhere in Pennsylvania in 1806, moved to Niagara Falls, Ontario, in about 1826 or 1828 (he was an architect and builder there and died in 1883), and who had a son named Edward who went off to South Carolina and for some reason there adopted the name of LADSHAW.

I am trying to find descendants of that LADSHAW family today in hopes of finding out more about the person of John Latshaw, his work as an architect and builder, and the roots of his family. There are NO Ladshaws today in South Carolina, and only about 14 families that I can find on the Internet anywhere in the USA.

Have any of you came across any of these Latshaw/Ladshaws in your research?
