Thanks so much! I do believe that I am on the right track now!
As for the dob of John Latimer, the family has always had the yr of 1831. When I found the 1880 census, that seems to match up. His age at that time was 48 (which would be abt 1832) so I think it's possible that maybe Isham & Mary C. didn't have children right away or maybe they had one that didn't make it.
I still haven't been able to find John in the 1860 census, obviously he wasn't with Isham, and I haven't been able to find him in TX. But I'm still looking!
If I happen to find anything else on my Latimer family, I'll be happy to share with you. (If you want it) If you'd like what I have now, let me know!
