My name is Leah Westover and my maternal grandmother was born Mary Leona Leitaker in Hico, Texas on February 20, 1930. Her father was Archie Leitaker, and her mother was Luddie Howerton. Archie was born July 16, 1903 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He died March 31, 1980 in Sacramento, California. His father died when he was real small and his mother remarried a Lundsford. Archie's brother and sisters were Adna, Goldie, and Dudley. His Lundsford stepbrothers were Herman, Calvin, and B. Archie's first wife died in California when she was real young after their fourth child was born. My grandmother's brothers were Lewis (died), and Paul (lives in California). Her sister died at a very young age in a fire. My grandmother still has family in California. In August they had a family reunion in California.
