ARUNAH LATHROP in American Revolution

Arunah Lathrop was a Private during the American Revolution. From the book, entitled: “Record of Connecticut Men in the Military & Naval Service during the War of the Revolution 1775-1783”. Printed in 1889.
       A) Enlisted on May 5, 1775, discharged September 21, 1775. 7th Company, commanded by Capt. Edward Mott, Lt. Benjamin Throop, Lt. Jeremiah Halsey. 7th Company served in the Northern Department under Gen. Schulyer.
       B) 3rd Battalion of Wadsworth’s Brigade. Capt. Clark’s Company. 3rd Battalion raised in June ‘76 to reinforce Washington at NY. Served in NY & LI. Caught in the retreat from city Sept. 15 & suffered loss. Engaged at Battle of White Plains, Oct. 28.
