Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

For anyone who is interested in this branch of the Lathrop/Lothrop family, Frances Eliza Lothrop Lathrop, Born 30 JAN 1809, Utica, NY; Died 18 OCT 1893, Kansas City, Jackson County, MO, was the daughter of John Hosmer Lothrop, Born 20 MAY 1769 New Haven, CT; Died 15 JUN 1829 Utica, NY; and Jerusha Kirkland, born 1775; died 20 FEB 1862 (in her 87th year) in Utica, NY. Jerusha was the daughter of the Reverend Samuel Kirkland (1741-1808), the great missionary to the Oneida Indians, and the founder, in 1793, of the Hamilton-Oneida Academy, which became Hamilton College. Frances Eliza Lothrop married her father's second cousin, John Hiram Lathrop!
