Tracing my husband's maternal grandfather's line, and have hit a brick wall. Hope someone can help! From the Hope North Dakota Centennial book, as supplied by a daughter of Richard Asa Lathrop: RICHARD ASA LATHROP was born on Christmas Eve in 1874, at Anoka, MN. His father, NOAH LATHROP (1828) was a pioneer Methodist Minister, whose ancestors had come to America in colonial times, as had those of his mother, SARAH FRANCES HARGRAVE (1829). Mr. Lathrop moved to Fargo ND as a teenager. He married Clara Ethel Foster (1876), daughter of George O. Foster, a Civil War veteran, and Phila Smith Foster, on September 11, 1900. They lived in Fargo where he worked for the J.I. Case Co. In 1902 they moved to Hope ND... (After he retired from his implement business in Hope ND, he and his wife moved to Seattle, WA, where all 3 daughters lived.) I have traced Sarah Frances Hargrave's family back to the emigrant ancestor who came to America. Now, I'm trying to connect the Richard, Noah, Junia, Ezra line back to their emigrant ancestor. Was he the Rev. John Lathrop? I haven't been able to make that link. Or, any other. Richard Asa Lathrop b Dec 24, 1874, Anoka, MN Noah Lathrop b Nov 9, 1828, Spencer, IN Junia Lathrop b Nov 6, 1798 Ezra Lathrop b ?? ?? I have U S census back to 1850 for Noah's family. I'll appreciate any help! Mary Ann Pomeroy Hagen (Formerly of Fargo, ND) Seattle, WA maryhagen35@yahoo.com Notify Administrator about this message?
