Rudolf Latch (Lutz)(b.1723,d.9/1785) was married to Mary Bealert (Baler), daughter of Jacob (d. 1776) and Dorethea Bealert (d. 1779)(listed Barlort in his will). Rudolf and Mary were married on 3/5/1755. Mary died 9/1/1813. The children of the marriage were: Nancy, Mary, Jacob, John, David, Elizabeth, Susanna, Joseph, Samuel, Hannah and George. My lineage falls from Jacob. Rudolf's will is filed in Montgomery County, Will bk.1, pp.57,58. In it, he left David and John his executors of his Lower Merion Twp estate. I have no info on David's descendants.
I found some suggestion that Jacob Bealert (Mary's father)might be the John Jacob Bealert, ropemaker, listed as a passenger on a ship called "Samuel" coming from Germany on 8/11/1732. I can't confirm that.
I believe Mary Bealert Latch is buried in St. Paul's Lutheran Cementary. Many of the Latch family are buried at this church in Lower Merion Twp., near the old family homestead. The homestead no longer stands, but Latch Lane continues.
