Hi Wallace
Thank you for your response. I have in my records from other Lassiter researchers that your Rhoda was a daughter of Tobias, but again, that is from others, and nothing I have come up with on my own.
I do not have any info on Arthur or Matthew, or any of their descendants. Do you know who their parents could have been and how they might be connected to Tobias? Do you have a copy of Tobias' inventory list when he died?
I suspect that Elisha may be the father of my Henry Z. Lassiter, but have no proof, other than his wife Nancy living next to and around Henry throughout the years.
In his will, which you may have, John Laciter Jr. mentions wife Rebecca, sons Obadiah, Samuel, Tobias, Jonas, Reuben, Sampson, Amos, and daughters Esteel Harrell, Ruth Brown, and Priscilly Laciter. I wonder if his daughter Ruth Brown is where the name Brown comes from?
Joe Baggett indicated he saw the will of Elisha in Jasper Co., but did not record any info from it when he saw it over 20 years ago. I am going to try and obtain a copy of it when I get down there in June.
I'll dig around and see what I can find on Arthur and Matthew. If Elisha was living on land with Henry Mitchell it is likely (but not 100%) that he could be related to Rhoda Rebecca. And how does Arthur and Matthew fit in with Drury I wonder?
Thanks again for your info.
Sincerely,
Randy Brooks
