This may be a different person, but might be worth exploring.
I have a George Washington Lasater b. perhaps abt. 1830 who was living in Crawford Co., AR, when his father, John Lasater, son of Hezekiah Lasater Sr., died in Oct. 1838. Hezekiah and John were b. NC, moved to Franklin Co., TN. In 1826 John was in a part of OK near AR (might have later become part of AR)left and by 1833 was in Crawford Co., AR. His will mentions first a son George Washington Lasater, then a younger son whose birthdate is known to be 1832. This family split apart because the father John was shot in a conflict with another family (mine!)and his wife died two years later. At the time the will was probated the guardian of this George Washington Lasater and his brothers was John Henry of Van Buren, AR, the husband of their half-sister Ada Parks. In the 1840 census only one son in the mother's household (she died after the census was taken)is listed in the age category that I think George Washington Lasater and his brother would have been, and I traced the other brother through old age, so I have assumed George Washington Lasater died. Yours may be a different individual, but it might be worth looking at. Do you know any other details at all about your George or his family?
