I have been searching for any surviving family members of james a pitts line or minnie v lasley pitts (also known to be spelled lesley)
james a pitts in 1920 was about 35/36 years of age...(born alabama)
.
minnie v lasley pitts about 28 yrs of age in 1920
(born in tennessee)
Home in 1920: Lineville, Clay, Alabama
in the 1920 census it has william j lasley (minnies father)
listed as 59 yrs of age and in the household with them...
james and minnie pitts had 2 children..
james a jr. (born 1913)
(died in palawan massacre ww2)
nell m pitts (born about 1917)
(she died in the 1980s i believe)
the family moved from alabama to orange florida (winterhaven area)i think...
my sister has the birth and death dates etc...
My search is for nells children/grandchildren
she married clarence harbour (deceased)
and had several children...
I would like to find them...
my history
minnie v lasley jones was my grandmothers sister on dads side...
making william j lasley my ggrandfather
making james a jr and nell my dads 1st cousins...
i have always been haunted by the story of the palawan massacre and curious to what happend to these people in my family...
if nell pitts harbours kids/grandkids are out there this is your 3rd cousin...i would love to hear from you and maybe see photos..
my daddy maylon bud jones talked often of your mom;s family(pitts)
also any living family of minnie v lasley pitts let me know also....
