I am very interested in the Samuel P. Lasley family of LaRue Co., KY. In some way he and his family are connected with William Thompson and Mary Elizabeth Torrance.

In the 1850 Census of LaRue Co., KY, M. E. Terrance, 19, is listed in the household of Saml P. Lastley (sic), 47, physician.

In Benningfield's "LaRue County Kentucky Marriage Records 1843 - 1876", the following is found: "WILLIAM THOMPSON & MARY E. TORRENCE, 4 Nov. 1850. Thompson of age; Alvin Torrence, father of Miss Torrence gave consent by written cert. proven by oath of Samuel P. Lasley. Married 5 Nov. 1850 by Robert A. Abell." Robert Abell is a Catholic priest at St. Catherine's Church in New Haven, Nelson Co., KY.

I am hoping that someone could provide information of the Samuel P. Lasley family relationship with either William Thompson or Mary Elizabeth Torrance.

Thanks
